Career History
Lightware is actually Tibor’s first workplace, he’s been with the company since 2007. He started designing printed circuit boards while he was still studying at university. In 2009 when he graduated, he became a technical support engineer, fixing customer problems via phone, Email and if necessary, by traveling on-site. During his tech support years, he started teaching customers about how DVI, EDID, HDMI, HDCP and DisplayPort works because preventing a problem is 10 times easier, less costly and less stressful than localizing the problem and fixing it. In 2015 he left the tech support team to establish the Training Department, where he has been leading our efforts of delivering our trainings to as many customers as possible.

About Me
I have strict expectations of myself as a presenter and of quality of the materials I create. When developing content, I always spend a lot of time researching the literature, experimenting with our new prototypes and reading through hundreds of pages of new technology standards. But don’t feel sorry for me, I am a nerd and I actually enjoy it 😊 I also like learning from my attendees what their current problems and challenges are so that I can tailor the next version of the content to answer their questions.
As Global Director of Training my main priority is ensuring that Lightware’s global network of trainers delivers a 5-star learning experience. I expect my colleagues to be a master of their field and to be honest and straightforward with customers. No persuasion techniques, no Jedi mind tricks. Focus on the advantages of our products but also admit the weaknesses. As Malcolm S. Forbes said,
The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one
Studies
Tibor has an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
