About Me

I have over 8000 hours of advanced training/trainer experience, conducting mostly multi-day trainings on complex systems’ hardware and software products. Therefore, I start every training and material creation by clearly understanding the audience’s personas, goals, and expectations before writing a single slide. I don’t write content that’s only ‘good enough’, there’s no such expression in my vocabulary. My trainings are almost always followed by hands-on practice sessions, which means I use my products daily to create material and develop the curriculum. I spend time searching for technology solutions from the IT world, to make life easier for AV Professionals. I lived in Germany and in the United States for several years, which means sometimes I speak German with Bavarian dialect and on occasion I use American street lingo (actually, more often than I should). I am a fast talker, so don’t hesitate to ask me to slow down 😊.

My main priority is to make sure the knowledge gap between the AV and IT worlds has a bridge built on both cliffs. Both the AV and the IT worlds have lots of features and standards to learn, therefore I make sure the right amount of knowledge is gathered and shared to create a networked AV world. It is easy to underestimate a world we don’t live in, so my motto is:

It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so. – Mark Twain
